Kelly and Matthew: A Spring, Downtown Annapolis Maryland Engagement Session
Missy: Looks at the weather app on her phone while waiting for her couple to arrive. Thinks to herself “Why does low 60 feel like low 40?!”
Before Kelly and Matthew’s evening session, I kept a close eye on the weather and temperature. For the few days prior and even the day of, the day looked perfect! A little overcast with temperatures in the low 60’s. “This sounds like a perfect Spring evening for their session” I thought. Fast forward to their session. They both arrived looking so stylish and perfect and Matthew even added a colorful accessory: a warm fuzzy red blanket! “I might have to wear this thing for our entire session,” he said. “Hey, I don’t blame you, but I might have to borrow it!” I added. You guys, it was COLD! The wind must have picked up some cool bay air because low 60 did not feel very Spring like!
First, we made our way to the gorgeous Maryland State House in the circle. I love the tall columns and all of the stairs! Most of all, I am in LOVE with those doors! After that, we walked around the circle and found the most beautiful Cherry Blossoms that I knew would be so picturesque for some close-ups shots. Then we headed to the very popular mural by Mary Bowen. Not only did the mural have great colors, but the cute houses along the street did as well! What great eye-catching backdrops they made! Finally, we headed down to brave the winds towards the water. At that point, we were having so much fun we may have forgotten how cold we were. The waterfront area made the perfect ending to our session, even though I could have kept photographing these two until the sun went away!
